Housewarming Cocktail Party

Congratulations, you did it; you are now a proud homeowner. Now that the boxes are all unloaded it is time to celebrate with your family and friends and maybe even break the ice with the new neighbors. What better way to showcase your new abode than with a cocktail party?
Here are some housewarming cocktails that are perfect choices for toasting your new home ownership:
Malibu Bay Breeze: This refreshing cocktail is sure to be a hit at your backyard get-together and will make your guests feel right at home in your very own backyard paradise. If you are going for a themed party this would be a perfect complement to a Hawaiian themed barbeque and some Don Ho music.
1 1/2 oz Malibu? coconut rum
2 oz cranberry juice
2 oz pineapple juice
Blend ingredients and serve over ice
Washington Apple:? If you are looking for something a little bit more cosmopolitan for your mix-and-mingle event these are great drinks to greet your guests at the door with when they arrive. For an extra fancy touch float a thin slice of apple on top after topping off the martini glass. These drinks are a great compliment to appetizers and finger foods.
2 oz Crown Royal? Canadian whisky
2 oz Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
2 oz cranberry juice
Pour Sour Apple Pucker, Crown Royal? Canadian whisky and cranberry juice into a shaker of ice and strain over a martini glass. Add cranberry juice, more to taste if desired, and serve.
Dreamy Chocolate Winter: Just because you are throwing a housewarming party in the winter months doesn?t mean you have to miss out on celebrating your new home. Light a fire in the fireplace and warm up your guests with this winter libation.? These drinks are also great dessert drinks after a sit-down dinner.
1 oz Irish cream
1 oz Kahlua? coffee liqueur
Amaretto almond liqueur
6 oz hot chocolate
Pour Kahlua? and Irish cream into a heatproof cup with hot chocolate. Add Amaretto, to taste. Stir, and serve.
When stocking up your home bar don?t forget to stock up on the traditional beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks so your guests have a variety to choose from. Whatever direction you decide to take in your housewarming cocktail party remember to toast to sharing your new home with your friends, family, and new neighbors.
