I?m going to briefly cover some of the main points about eBooks including some of the benefits that owning your own eBook store. You can visit my eBook store at Keener eBook Store to get an idea of what your eBook store would look like if you bought the eBook store package from me complete with over 3,000 eBooks and a storefront similar to mine. The storefront comes with the package, but you can set up your own if you would like. All 3,000 books come with complete resale rights which are explained in full in the article.
1) With an online eBook store you are in control of how much time you devote to your business. Since it is your store you can devote as much or as little time as you see fit to the business.
2) This is your store, your little corner of the internet and you have the freedom to pick your store?s name. At first, this may not seem too important to you, but if you stop and think about it for a minute, a person once chose the name eBay, Amazon, and Facebook. Those names certainly worked out and yours might also. Spend some time on this part of starting your business. Be creative. Try to come up with a name that is easy for customers to remember because you want them coming back to your store a lot. Toss it around a little bit and you might be surprised one day at just how important this step really is.
3) No inventory is required. A traditional bookstore has books made of paper. These books cost money and they are sold one time and then they have to be replaced and restocked. With an online eBook store, no matter how many times customers buy a particular eBook, you never have less of them to sell. Isn?t that amazing? You don?t need a bricks and mortar building and you don?t need boxes and shelves of books, You simply need a web hosting company, a domain name for your site and eBooks stored on your computer to upload to the web host?s server. When the customer chooses a book from your eBook store and pays for it with a credit card or debit card it is automatically downloaded to the customer?s computer.
4) You will find that many eBooks may be branded. This means that the eBook allows you to place your website and email address information inside the eBook you are selling. This means that the customer may click on a link inside the book that brings them back to other eBooks in your store or to the store itself. Also links inside the eBook can take your customer to other people?s web sites. You can enter into affiliate agreements with these other internet merchants so that if your customer clicks on a link in your eBook that takes them to a product that the merchant sells, you make a commission. This can be a highly profitable arrangement for you. For example if you are sell an eBook about pets, for example, you might provide a link in the eBook to an online merchant that sells pet products. If your customer clicks on the link and makes a purchase on the other merchant?s site, you get paid. The amount of commissions offered by other online merchants can be high?from 30 to 60 percent is not uncommon.
5) Normal Resell Rights (NRR), Master Resell Rights (MRR) and Private Label Rights (PLR).
Normal resell rights
Normal resell rights mean that after you buy the item you will be allowed to sell it to your customers. There may be limitations, such as that you can only sell the product for a specific price. This term is also known as Resale Rights. When a product comes with resell rights it means that you can sell the product to just about anyone and keep 100% of the profit. The product you sell though should only include the PUO (Personal Use Only) right, in other words, you can NOT give the resell rights when you sell this type of product to the buyer. An example of this would be a book you buy online from Amazon.
Master resell rights
When you acquire master resell rights, you sell the product/service to your customers, and you may also grant your customers the right to sell it. You can also pass master resell rights to your customers, if you are in possession of transferable master resell rights. This allows your customers to also sell the product with master resell rights. This is a very valuable right. In addition to buying the value the customer gets from reading the book, he can also resell it over and over again, just as you can.
Private label
With private label resell rights, you may not only resell the product but you may also edit the content or product and claim it as your own work (meaning, you become its author). Private Label Rights vary, with licenses offering full authorship while others limit distribution, and restrict what can be done with the content (restricted private label versus unrestricted private label). This is also a very valuable right and the value of this right has value to the buyer.
6) Your eBook store has no store hours and no employees to pay. Traditional stores have only a certain amount of hours they are open every day and they have employees to pay. An eBook store never closes?it is open, and working, and potentially earning money for you around the clock. It is there to sell to your customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week; it never closes and there are no employees expecting a paycheck every week. Your eBook store can sell to any customer, anywhere in the world, at any time of the day or night, 365 days a year. The only requirement for a person to buy from you is that he or she needs a computer and a credit card or debit card.
7) The income potential from an eBook store. I am not going to tell you that opening an eBook store will make you a millionaire. It is not a ?get rich quick? proposition in most cases. In fact, for a while, it will probably seem more like a hobby than a business. If you buy your eBook store from me, or from anyone else for that matter, it does take some time and work to get it completely stocked with your eBooks. If you purchase your store from me you will get over 3,000 eBooks in almost every category and on almost every topic you can imagine (we do not sell any pornographic or similar material).
8) You can start your business for a very, very low investment so you do not have a lot of money at risk. It takes a lot of work and time to build a business online just as it does with a traditional business. However, if you are willing to work hard to build an online eBook store and if you are willing to learn as you go, you can build a successful business online. In this type of business the work you do today might not pay you today. You only have to stock an eBook once and it is there for as long as you maintain your store. There is no limit to the number of times that one book might sell. It is called passive income. Passive income is defined as an income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it. That is the type of income we all, as internet marketers, continually work to build. An online eBook store, once established and maintained, can and will pay you back over, and over and over.
