Third Apple Store In Beijing Opens In Wangfujing Later This Month ...

An Apple store is opening in China next week, in Wangujing Street, an outdoor pedestrian mall that has been there for over 800 years. This will the the third retails store in Beijing, China, and it?s said that it will be the largest Apple store in Asia. It will join over 200 other shops in the shopping destination center about a mile from historic Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

The store should occupy a corner building of the historic shopping area, according to website MIC Gadget, and will take up the bottom half of the building at least, if not all four levels of the current building. The Wangujing shopping center is about two miles from the Xidan Joy City Apple Store, and three and a half miles away from China?s first Apple Store in Salitun. MIC Gadget also speculates that the opening of the store could coincide with the release of the iPhone 5 in China, even though the store page at the Chinese Apple.com still only points to the sale of the iPhone 4S.

There are classes planned already for the day after opening, which will include classes on the iPhone 4S, the iPad, iTunes and iPod, the App Store, the line of Macintosh computers and iPhoto.

Hong Kong recently opened it?s own second Apple store, with a third store possibly planned for Hysan Place in Causeway Bay. A data center has also been reported as in the works for the area, and could start construction as early as next year, making China a big part of Apple?s current strategy for world domination.
