Iowa?s Korean War-era veterans will be honored at a ceremony Saturday in Des Moines.
Iowa veterans who served in any branch of the military during the Korean War era are invited to be recognized at the ceremony. The event is in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War.
More than 85,000 Iowans served during the three-year conflict.
The event is at 1:00 p.m. at the Knapp Center on the Drake University campus.
It?s free and open to the public.
